Review

"Old School" is an extremely short flash fiction story of only approximately three pages. In it, a group of young people attempt to raise a dead person using a spell they found in an old necromancy book. The unexpected happens when they fail to read the fine print. It's really hard to evaluate a story that is this brief, because there's very little plot or character development. It was merely a tiny snack of a story that was good for only a few minutes of entertainment value. I at least chuckled at the punch line, which is why I gave it three stars, but overall, there was so little to it that it won't be particularly memorable. "Old School" can be found in the anthology Blood Lite.
