A group of four friends use an ancient necromancy book purchased off of eBay in an attempt to raise a dead woman, which results in the unexpected when they fail to read the fine print.
"Old School" is an extremely short flash fiction story of only approximately three pages. In it, a group of young people attempt to raise a dead person using a spell they found in an old necromancy book. The unexpected happens when they fail to read the fine print. It's really hard to evaluate a story that is this brief, because there's very little plot or character development. It was merely a tiny snack of a story that was good for only a few minutes of entertainment value. I at least chuckled at the punch line, which is why I gave it three stars, but overall, there was so little to it that it won't be particularly memorable. "Old School" can be found in the anthology Blood Lite.
